Meet Monica
Certified Health Coach
Ciao, I'm Monica!

I have been passionate about health and wellness since the time I was a fourteen-year-old girl growing up in Guadalajara, Mexico. It was then that I watched as two of my grandparents were diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. But their health journeys took very different paths.
After the diagnosis, my grandmother struggled (and ultimately failed) to change her eating habits. Compounded by other health issues, she lived the remainder of her life in constant pain as her health rapidly deteriorated, leading to her untimely death. My grandfather, however, made immediate lifestyle changes. He stopped smoking and drinking and improved his diet. At 92 years old, he is still living his best life!
Although I was deeply impacted by this early experience, my path would first take me somewhere else. With a degree in International Business and Finance, I worked in the Finance sector in Los Angeles for more than ten years.
Then, I met the love of my life and became the mother of two children. The opportunities (and challenges!) for growth in motherhood led me on a path of discovery. I began seeking a more holistic and sustainable lifestyle, incorporating essential oils, movement, meditation, mindfulness, and healthy eating.
Two moves later–from L.A. to New York to Rome–I suddenly found myself with two children in elementary school and a growing urge to return to work and return to myself. The experience of my grandparents still imprinted in my memory and now faced with the challenges of my children’s picky eating habits, I enrolled in the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and became a certified Health Coach.
Here, I’ve found my passion–and not just in nutrition. While our physical health is essential to our wellbeing, wellness doesn’t stop there. Wellness also includes the health of our minds, our family relationships, and our finances. I combine all my expertise to help overwhelmed mothers become stronger and take command of their lives!
We all deserve to live an extraordinary life!

Like a fork on the road, our awareness, education and intuition about a healthy lifestyle help shape our decisions towards improving or impoverishing our health.
