I hope this email finds you doing well! Today I want to share with you a recent anecdote that serves as a metaphor for life.
A few days ago, I left my car parked with the emergency lights on - for 30 minutes. When I returned, the battery had died and I couldn't start the car.
I asked my neighbor if he had jumper cables, but instead he said he could help me jump start the car in third gear. I had no clue what that was, but I trusted it could work. I started the ignition and left the car in neutral as he pushed the car towards a downhill, once the car got momentum, I entered third gear and the car magically turned on. Voilà! After driving for 45 minutes, I stopped at an auto shop and measured the battery: it had recharged to 45%.
Well, isn't life a bit like that? Sometimes we overextend ourselves and ask too much of our bodies and then it demands a break - most times by getting ill. That's when starting on 'third gear' becomes necessary, metaphorically speaking! A 'reset' or detox is a helpful way to boost your immune system and give your body some TLC.
